1) Learning how to make pixel art

My 'lets create a website' hobby is spiraling into 'lets be a pixel artist' super fast. Uh, first I was searching for animal pixels for my Italian page. I'm trying to match Italian animal words I know with pixels, but only pixels with a known artist I can credit back to. This... is more difficult than it sounds when you are looking for something really particularly. Like, I never found a pixel for 'lion'. So... I decided, I'll create my lion pixel art. Here is my process so far.

• Attempt One

  In which I realize that MS Paint in-browser apps don't have transparancy features. Also, I clearly didn't consider the best canvas size ...

• Attempt Two.

  Oof. Again struggling with canvas size. But I moved to an app that lets me use transparancy!

• Attempt Three

  Finally using a canvas size where you can actually see the drawing! But still unsure if this big enough of a canvas for the kind of drawing I'm doing here. Also, I remembered that reference pictures exist. I used this one !
